The Bangor High School JROTC invites you to attend the 2026 Memorial Day parade on May 25, beginning at 10:15 a.m. This year's event will include the BHS Band, the combined
W.S. Cohen & J.F. Doughty Middle School Bands, BHS JROTC, multiple local organizations, veterans, and floats.

The parade will start on Exchange Street and continue south on Main Street and finish at Davenport Park with a 21-rifle salute and wreath laying ceremony to honor those who have died in service to their country.

Mrs. Bendure’s 8th grade English students invited a Maine Wildlife Biologist to talk about black bears while they are reading "Touching Spirit Bear." Students learned that spirit bears are actually black bears with a genetic mutation that makes them appear white. A huge thank you to our guest speaker for bringing science, nature, and real-world knowledge into the classroom! #WeAreBangor

The Bangor Region Y has received a special grant to ensure all children are able to experience the magic of summer camp. This grant will help provide scholarships and financial assistance to families at both their Day Camps—Camp G Peirce Webber and Camp Acorn, as well as their overnight camp—Camp Jordan. We’re very excited to be working with your athletes again this year!

ORDERING INFO: Your portraits will be available in approximately three weeks following the the date of your
