Mrs. Bendure’s 8th grade English students invited a Maine Wildlife Biologist to talk about black bears while they are reading "Touching Spirit Bear." Students learned that spirit bears are actually black bears with a genetic mutation that makes them appear white. A huge thank you to our guest speaker for bringing science, nature, and real-world knowledge into the classroom! #WeAreBangor

Another GOLD for the Bangor Middle School Jazz Band at the MMEA State Jazz Festival! Congratulations to Cameron Strout and Blake Bridges, who earned Outstanding Musicianship Awards for their solos.

"I was so proud of the progress all of the students made over the course of the year. They truly saved their best performance for when it mattered most! Watching them perfect their craft and have fun while doing it reminds me why I do what I do." Mr. Gebhart
