Use Your Signals!
Turn signals communicate your intentions and keep everyone safe. A simple signal can prevent accidents and misunderstandings. Let’s signal, not swerve!

Keep Calm and Drive On!
Aggressive driving doesn’t solve anything. If someone is driving slower than you’d like, take a deep breath instead of yelling. Patience is key to a safe environment!

Distracted Driving is Dangerous!
Distractions while driving can lead to accidents. Keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Pay close attention in drop-off areas as students move quickly.

Stop Signs Matter!
Rolling through stop signs isn’t just a habit; it’s dangerous! Please make a complete stop and ensure the road is clear before proceeding. Let’s keep our schools safe for everyone!

Black History Month is an opportunity for us to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions and accomplishments of Black Americans throughout history and in our present society. This month is also a time for us to reflect on the ongoing fight for equality and justice and to recommit ourselves to creating a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
February was chosen for Black History Month to honor Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln's birth dates. President Lincoln is well known for issuing the Emancipation Proclamation, which declared freedom for enslaved Americans held in the Confederacy. Douglass escaped from slavery in 1838 and became a renowned abolitionist, speaker, and writer.
In the Bangor School Department, we recognize that our actions today will be history tomorrow, so the legacy of Black History Month lives on through our actions.

Due to the predicted weather for tomorrow, February 6, 2025, Bangor School Department will have an early dismissal, and all after-school activities will be canceled. Thank you.
